Installation of Moshi-Mwanga Rotary Club Officers

The regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Moshi-Mwanga was a special             event on 22nd July, 2018. Our new Club President, Mrs. Lucy Samba, was       installed in office along with the new Officers. Prior to the Installation             ceremony, the Club President for 2017/18, Mr. Hekima Mhadisa, provided an excellent recap of the accomplishments by the club during his tenure. One among the success during his leadership was WaSH Project – Kiruru Village, tree planting just few to mention.

Another significant accomplishment of the club under the Presidency of Mr. Hekima, was hosting Interact Club at Kisanga Secondary School.

In concluding his remarks, Hekima said he would “like to say a big THANK YOU to all the Rotarians and all of you who have helped make this year a productive one, including the Anjela Hotel (the location for our weekly meetings) and its excellent staff.”

“It is now my pleasant duty to pass on the baton of leadership of this prestigious club to our incoming president, Mrs. Lucy Samba. She is young, energetic, full of ideas, and ready to lead.  I know her year will be a success and I'm already looking forward to serving her (and handing over my duties) as our leader. I wish Lucy and her incoming leaders every success.

“Thank you for a wonderful year. It's been an honor serving as your president.”

Afterwards, President Lucy took a few moments to briefly outline her objectives for the club for Rotary Year 2018/19. She emphasized that service projects and the club activities were going to be focused on areas that Rotary International & District supported and would reflect the areas that Rotary D9211 clubs from Tanzania and Uganda wanted to pursue for our local community and for international projects. She pledged to work hard and to help ‘grow’ projects that would meet the theme for District, which is “Mission Green" She mentioned other effort being membership engagement.

She finalize by thanks all participants and asking for cooperation from everyone.
